Day 29 - Hopes, Dreams & Plans for the Next 365...
I plan to have vegetable fajitas for dinner. I plan to buy sunscreen tomorrow because it’s starting to get sunny out there. I plan to buy a new notebook for my morning pages (with lines) when I go into town next week. That’s about as far ahead as I like to plan. I firmly believe that too many people get so caught up in the planning they never actually do anything. If I had...
Day 28 - This Year in Great Detail.
January - It snowed. February - It snowed some more. March - We thought the weather was getting better but it snowed again. April - So far so good. No snow.
Day 27 - This Month in Great detail.
The first week of the month was taken up with creating videos for my Bookbinding 2 class. The second was taken up with editing them and putting the class together. Apart form that, April has been quiet but… it’s warm! Finally, the snow seems to have disappeared. I’ve only had to wear a coat once this month and that was because it was raining. Let’s hope this is going to...
Day 26 - Your Week In Great Detail.
They started running out of ideas with the prompts at this point didn’t they? Well, most of this week has been spent finishing off editing the videos for Bookbinding 2 which starts on Monday. In between that I’ve been working on a huge commission and trying to put together some canvases for a gallery. That’s pretty much it really.
Day 25 - Your Day in Great Detail.
I thought I’d do it in pictures. Seemed like it’d be more fun. Morning Bear, wakey wakey! Morning Madam, I see you’re up already. Still working on 1.5ltrs a day, but first… a nice mug of tea… Then it’s on with the Morning Pages Showers and whatnot and then cute, summer hair Checking the emails and catching up on workshop posts Cheese &...
Day 24 - Something Random.
The Indelicates - Songs for Swinging Lovers This is what I’m listening to as I work today. The Indelicates are embracing the sans money-grabbing record labels philosophy. Pay what you think it’s worth, download whatever tracks you want. Crank it up load as you sip your pina coladas in the garden this weekend.
Day 22 - A Website. →
Ever heard of Buddha Boards? This is the online version.
Day 20 - A Hobby of Yours
I’m a girl gamer. Or at least, I am when I get the time which at the moment isn’t much. I used to play online games but haven’t had time recently, though I plan to go back as soon as funds and time allow. I have an RP guild in EQ2 where I play a cheeky pirate gal who likes purple, cats and treasure hunting - think Rosie with a pirate outfit ;) - and at the moment I’m...
Day 19 - A Talent of Yours
I am a multi-tasking queen and often watching tv, making art and reading something on the computer, while making dinner and talking to someone on the phone. I don’t plan it, it just happens and somehow my brain keeps up.
Day 15 - Something that is currently overrated
Minimalism and bland decor. I’m over the Ikea look. Give me a house with some colour and things to look at. I’d rather live here than here. I especially love that kitchen, I think it’s fantastic.
Day 14 - A Non-fiction book
I love a good autobiography but even better, I love reading published diaries. Some of my favourites are:- Virginia Woolf Sylvia Plath Kenneth Williams Rosemary Ackland (Joss Ackland’s late wife) Anais Nin Beatrix Potter and of course, the one that started my life-long obsession with journaling and art journaling, The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady (Edith Holden)
Day 13 - A Fictional Book
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke I love weird and wonderful tales and this is certainly one of them. The world no longer believes in magic and a few people wonder what happened to it and how it became a myth. Then onto the scene comes the reclusive Mr Norrell, who not only refutes the idea that magic is dead, but makes the statues of York Cathedral move and speak to prove...
Day 12 - Something Random
Did you know… That Venus is the only planet in the Solar System that rotates clockwise? All the others rotate anti-clockwise. The only bird that can fly backwards is a hummingbird, because it can rotate both of it’s wings in a circle rather than just up and down? A crocodile cannot move it’s tongue or chew, but it’s digestive juices are strong enough to...
